Dr. Nadeem Jan, the Caretaker Minister for Health, stated that urgent measures are being taken to eliminate polio. He urged parents to administer polio drops to their children during the polio campaign, emphasizing the importance of preventing permanent disabilities. In response to the discovery of wild poliovirus Type-1 in sewage lines, a five-day special anti-polio vaccination campaign has been launched across 31 districts in all four provinces of Pakistan. Over 10 million children under the age of five will be vaccinated, along with receiving a supplementary dose of vitamin A during the campaign.
