Islamabad: There is a possibility that electricity may become more expensive by Rs 3.49 per unit for a month, as Nepra will be hearing the request for a monthly fuel price adjustment today.
CPPA has filed a request for an FC adjustment for the month of April, which will impose an additional burden of Rs 34 billion on consumers.
The request stated that in April, electricity was not generated from furnace oil and diesel, with only 22.96% produced from hydel sources and 10.19% from local coal.
11.28% was generated from local gas, 24.97% from imported LNG, and 23.64% from nuclear fuel in April.
