The election season is in full swing, with rallies, speeches, and political buzz all around the country. However, there are some concerns and doubts among the people about whether the environment for elections is being effectively created in the country.
Some believe that the lack of a visible election environment is due to the absence of political activities by leaders such as Nawaz Sharif. Despite addressing only one reception and one official national address since his return, there has been minimal political engagement from him. Parliamentary board meetings have been held, but the lack of political activity is causing doubts and concerns about the elections.
There are also statements from some friends that the delay in elections is necessary, which is further contributing to the lack of an election environment. However, not everyone believes that such high-profile figures like Maulana Fazlur Rehman are the main reasons behind the lack of election environment in the country.
The situation in Sindh, where the Pakistan People’s Party is the main player, is causing some concern as well. The strong hold of the party in Sindh has minimized the creation of an election environment. Though the party is making efforts in the electoral campaigns, it is not as vibrant as expected.
The absence of a visible election environment in Punjab, despite the efforts of various parties like Pakistan People’s Party, Tehreek-e-Insaf and Muslim League-N, continues to raise questions and doubts among the people. Even with the efforts of Bilawal Bhutto and the Sharif family, the election environment is not as lively as expected. It is hoped that after February 15th, the election buzz will pick up across the country, as political activities and rallies will increase, creating a more apparent election environment.
