After incidents of injuries during kite flying in Karachi, Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Salim Rajput has imposed a two-month ban on kite flying in the city.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner Karachi, it was mentioned that the ban on kite flying has been imposed for two months as a result of 8 people getting injured due to the string of kites.
The incidents of injuries to citizens due to the string of kites prompted the decision to ban kite flying as it poses a grave danger to the lives of the citizens.
Commissioner Karachi stated that this step was necessary to ensure the safety of the citizens’ precious lives.
It should be noted that in some cities of Punjab, including Lahore, there have been several incidents where citizens have lost their lives due to the string of kites, after which the Punjab government has taken strict measures and imposed a ban on kite flying.
