Mohsin Naqvi said that the use of Afghan territory for attacks on Chinese nationals is a serious concern for us, and Pakistan has raised this issue with the Afghan interim government and emphasized on stopping these terrorists and taking action against them, but so far we have not received any positive results.
The Interior Minister said that the border areas in Afghanistan are providing support to terrorists like Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, and we have many evidences of this, and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan is definitely operating against Pakistani interests, and is involved in attacks on Chinese citizens and other terrorist incidents.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the terrorists are taking advantage of the weakness of the Afghan interim government, and the threats coming from across the border are becoming more complex for national security.
The Interior Minister said that in view of terrorist attacks, we have strengthened surveillance on the borders, but still these terrorists find a way to escape.
He said the government of Pakistan is well aware of which forces want to deteriorate the relations between Pakistan and China.
The Federal Interior Minister said that Pak-China relations are of utmost importance, and in this context, the security of Chinese nationals is of utmost importance to us, and we have formulated new SOPs where strict actions are being taken, and we are taking all possible measures for their security.
