Kahuta: A passenger van traveling from Murree to Faisalabad crashed near Khushab Road in Kahuta, resulting in two fatalities and 50 severe injuries.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chakwal Quratulain Malik was informed of the incident and immediately reached the Trauma Center in Kahuta, where she reported that a total of 50 passengers were injured in the bus accident and two passengers lost their lives.
She stated that the condition of the injured is critical, and emergency services have been initiated at the Trauma Center in Kahuta, where the injured are being provided with all necessary medical facilities.
DC Chakwal mentioned that initial investigations indicate that the cause of the accident was due to the bus overspeeding, as the driver was unable to control the speeding bus leading to the accident.
Quratulain Malik mentioned that the deceased individuals are being shifted to Rawalpindi, one of whom has been identified as Muhammad Waqas from Faisalabad, while the identity of the other person is still unknown.
