For the past 8 years, no new project has been allocated to Sindh in the PSDP, says Murad Ali Shah.

Karachi: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, met with Federal Minister of Finance, Muhammad Orangzeb, to discuss the improvement of the Small Medium Enterprises.

The Chief Minister of Sindh and the Federal Finance Minister also discussed the prices of industrial gas. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the rising prices of gas for industrialists. The Federal Finance Minister said they will discuss this with the Federal Petroleum Minister.

The Chief Minister of Sindh mentioned that in 2015, the FBR imposed a tax of one billion rupees on vehicle registration, resulting in a loss of 6 billion rupees for Sindh. Now, the Federal Government has imposed a tax of 13 billion rupees on Hesco and Sepco.

The Federal Minister assured that they will resolve the issues related to the AIT source cuts for Sindh.

The Chief Minister of Sindh pointed out that for the past 8 years, Sindh has not been allocated any new projects in the PSDP. While other provinces have received new projects from the Federal Government, Sindh has been neglected. The Chief Minister stressed that if the Federal Government does not want to initiate any new projects in Sindh, they should discuss it openly. The funds allocated for the construction of homes affected by floods have also not been released yet.

The Federal Finance Minister assured the Chief Minister of Sindh that they will resolve the issues between the FBR and the Sindh Government.
