Islamabad: The Ministry of Interior has clarified fake notifications circulating on social media regarding Eid ul-Fitr holidays, while the Treasury Department has debunked fake notifications claiming a 15% bonus for government employees on Eid.

The viral fake notification on the internet claimed that the government had announced Eid holidays from April 9 to April 12. Social media users also alleged that government employees or those whose offices are closed on weekends would get 6 holidays for Eid.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior clarified that the government has not made any decision regarding Eid ul-Fitr holidays, and the viral fake notification on social media is false. The spokesperson added that once a decision is made on holidays, an official notification will be issued by the Ministry of Interior.

Following the Eid ul-Fitr holidays, a fake notification claiming a 15% bonus for government employees was circulated on social media, causing happiness among government employees. However, the Treasury Department also clarified the truth behind this notification.

The Treasury Department debunked the fake notification on social media, which claimed a 15% bonus equivalent to the basic salary for Eid ul-Fitr. The notification mentioned giving this bonus to employees in grades 1 to 22, with the signature of Section Officer R Three Fouzia Hussain.

Treasury Secretary Amdadullah clarified that the fake notification circulating on social media regarding a 15% bonus for basic salary as Eid bonus is false.
