Islamabad: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sheer Afzal Marwat, has strongly condemned the campaign being run on social media against Shahid Afridi, calling it false and propaganda.
After the leadership of PTI, Sheer Afzal Marwat targeted the PTI social media team, confirming the false propaganda by criticizing it.
In a statement on the social networking site X, he said, “A campaign is being run against Shahid Afridi on May 9, I have seen some attributed statements against Shahid Afridi, so we should verify false news.”
He said, “I have not seen any statement from Shahid Afridi and it seems that some elements are spreading false news against him, I know that Shahid Afridi respects Imran Khan and it seems that some people are trying to spread propaganda against Shahid Afridi who want to achieve personal scores with him.”
Sheer Afzal Marwat wrote that PTI’s social media teams are requested to spread good things about Shahid Afridi, we need to quickly respond to false propaganda on PTI platforms in the future, and participation in campaigns based on personal enmity should be stopped immediately.
He further said, “I personally affirm that the campaign against Shahid Afridi is false and meaningless, and I am deeply saddened by it.”
