Karachi: Protests against the lack of electricity supply in the city continue. Residents and shopkeepers near President Empress Market and Gulshan Disco Bakery staged protests against the barbaric load shedding of electricity.
The protest near Empress Market caused severe difficulties for the citizens, as enthusiastic individuals also set tires and other items on fire. Upon receiving information about the protest, area police and traffic police officers arrived at the scene and after negotiations, dispersed the protesters peacefully and restored traffic.
Residents near Gulshan Iqbal Disco Bakery blocked both lanes of the road and raised strong slogans against the lack of electricity supply. Enthusiastic individuals expressed astonishment at the intense heat and power outages in the area, suggesting that the authorities responsible for electricity management are completely unaware of the situation.
