Sharif Zardari and Gen Asim Munir have launched a fresh attack on Supreme Court of Pakistan. They now want to raise the number of judges from 17 to 25. Goal is to dilute the power of eight rightly guided judges by adding loyalists of the regime to the Bench. Chief Justice Afridi is busy in his optics to create a soft image of himself but his real test lies in defending democracy and rule of law – and it remains to be seen if he will show some courage to protect Supreme Court from total annihilation?
