A 94-member delegation of Pakistani visitors attended the wedding ceremony of Khawaja Nazamuddin Wali in New Delhi. According to Express News, Azaz Khan, the organizer of the event and a member of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, placed a shroud (chadar) on behalf of the Pakistani government and its people at the shrine. Syed Tahir Nazami, the custodian of the shrine, along with members of the shrine committee, welcomed the organizer and the Pakistani visitors upon their arrival and also presented Azaz Khan with a special shawl. The visitors also visited the mausoleum of Hazrat Amir Khusro, who is buried at the shrine, and offered prayers. The Pakistani visitors are on a trip to New Delhi from October 31st to November 8th to participate in the annual wedding ceremony. It is noteworthy that the Pakistani visitors are attending the annual wedding ceremony of Hazrat Nazamuddin Wali in compliance with the 1974 Pakistan-India Protocol regarding visits to religious places.
