A person who set himself on fire was taken to the hospital with three children, including two daughters who have been married, by the police.
The incident took place in Sector 5-C of North Karachi where a father set himself on fire with his three children inside the ground. Upon receiving the information, the local residents gathered and extinguished the fire, and the injured were immediately transferred to the Burns Ward of the Jinnah Hospital via an ambulance.
Khawaja Ajmir Nagri police stated that Arif, a 45-year-old resident of House number L-246 in North Karachi Sector 5-C, took his three children near their house in Auckland Ground and committed self-immolation, resulting in 45-year-old Arif’s daughters, 4-year-old Eman Fatima and 5-year-old Hooriya, along with his 3-year-old son Ghulam Hussain, being included.
The police stated that initial investigations indicate that Arif, who attempted self-immolation with his three children, works as a fruit vendor and has been married twice. However, the exact reason could not be determined yet. The police are also obtaining information from the family in addition to trying to gather statements from Arif.
