Istanbul: In southern region of Turkey, a collision involving three intercity buses resulted in the worst accident with 10 people killed and 39 injured.
According to Reuters, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that the central highway accident occurred when an intercity bus collided with 3 other vehicles, resulting in fatalities and multiple injuries.
The Interior Minister stated in a statement issued on the social media website X that the bus was traveling from Istanbul to Diyarbakir province near the city of Mersin on the Tarsus highway when it crushed a transport truck and two other vehicles.
A statement from the government said that investigations into the incident have been initiated.
