Islamabad: The High Court has requested a report on the transfers of officers based on the orders of the Election Commission. In the current government regime, the Islamabad High Court has asked for a report by Tuesday about the number of officer transfers made in accordance with the Election Commission’s recommendations. Chief Justice Miangul Hassan and Justice Aurangzeb have issued a written order for the previous hearing of the case regarding the transfers based on the Election Commission’s recommendations, stating that the court should also be informed why some officers were instructed to continue working in their current positions. The Establishment Division and Election Commission should submit a comprehensive report for the next hearing in court. It is apparent that the Election Commission had issued orders for transfers of various secretaries of departments and the Inspector General of Sindh. The Election Commission had also recommended for the transfer of the Islamabad Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. According to the Election Commission, transfers have also been made in Islamabad Police and administration.
