“Washington: American federal regulators have warned the public to immediately stop using various brands of eye drops. According to American media, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has alerted the public that several eye drop brands have been found to contain unhealthy substances in their factories, prompting the need to discontinue the use of eye drops and seek alternatives from reputable brands. The FDA has issued alerts regarding 26 products related to eye care, as contaminated products can cause eye infections and blindness due to compromising the defensive mechanisms of the eyes against medications or foreign substances. The FDA’s list includes CVS Health, Leader (Cardinal Health), Rugby (Cardinal Health), Rite Aid, Target Up and Up, and Walgreens Pharmacy. The FDA has urged all these brands to recall their products from the market, while CVS, Rite Aid, and Target have already initiated the process of recalling their products from both the market and their websites.”
