In all the wars of the 20th century, the deaths of innocent civilians in Gaza are the highest, Jemima Goldsmith has said.
The former wife of Imran Khan, the former chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has demanded an immediate ceasefire during the bombing of thousands of children in Gaza.
Imran Khan’s first wife, Jemima Khan, wrote on her micro-blogging website “X” that fewer children were killed in Iraq during the 14-year war (2008-2022) than in Gaza in just one month.
Jemima wrote further that the number of children being killed in Gaza is unprecedented. The number of innocent civilians killed in Gaza during the 20th century is higher than in all the wars that took place around the world.
She also demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza in her tweet.
Earlier, in another tweet, Jemima had written that she really does not like the terms “pro-Israel” or “pro-Palestine” as it implies that the choice has to be binary. You can be pro-Israel’s right to exist in safety and pro-Palestinian freedom. Those two things are not only mutually inclusive but are also contingent upon one another.
