The Lahore High Court has dismissed appeals against the rejection of nomination papers of Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervez Elahi, Hammad Azhar, and Fawad Chaudhry, and Sanam Javed.

According to Express News, a three-member bench of the Lahore High Court, headed by Justice Baqir Ali Najfi, heard all the petitions against the decisions of the Election Commission and the Appellate Tribunal.

The High Court rejected the request to consider Pervez Elahi’s request for the rejection of nomination papers. The bench also rejected the appeal against the decision to reject Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s nomination papers and upheld the decision of the Election Commission. Shah Mahmood Qureshi had submitted nomination papers from NA-150, NA-151, and PP-218.

Under the leadership of Justice Baqir Ali Najfi, the bench also did not allow Hammad Azhar to contest the election and directed to uphold the decision of the Election Commission and the Appellate Tribunal.

The Lahore High Court also rejected the appeal against the rejection of Sanam Javed’s nomination papers and upheld the decision of the Election Commission.

Similarly, the larger bench heard the petition against the rejection of the nomination papers of Imran Khan and denied him permission to contest the election. The bench also directed to uphold the decision of the Election Commission and the Appellate Tribunal. Imran Khan’s nomination papers were rejected from NA-122 and NA-89.

Similarly, the larger bench also dismissed the appeal against the rejection of Fawad Chaudhry’s nomination papers. Fawad Chaudhry had submitted nomination papers from NA-60 and NA-61.
