Former captain of the national cricket team, Wasim Akram, has taken a strong stance against Hassan Raza’s comments about the ball tampering issue. In a recent TV interview, Hassan Raza accused Indian bowlers of using different balls provided by the ICC and the BCCI, which has given them an advantage in swinging and seaming the ball. He also suggested that the Indian batsmen should be tested with the same balls.

Responding to these remarks, Wasim Akram criticized Hassan Raza for making such statements and bringing disgrace to himself and the team. He stated that before the toss, both captains should be present during the inspection of the ball and the captain who is taking the ball out of the box should take two balls, in case one is damaged, the other can be used. He further added that other teams also practice this protocol.

Wasim Akram questioned how one can tamper with the ball using any device, emphasizing that just because other teams are not swinging the ball doesn’t mean the Indian bowlers have done something wrong. He praised the Indian batsmen for their excellent form and stated that they should be appreciated.

It is evident that the Indian pacers have taken 45 wickets at an average of 18.57 in seven matches, while the fast bowlers of South Africa have taken the most wickets, 50 in seven matches. The Indian pacers displayed a remarkable bowling performance against Sri Lanka and restricted the entire team to a mere total of 55 runs.
