Islamabad: Contracts worth more than 3 billion dollars have been signed between Pakistan and Dubai. According to Express News, the contracts were signed by Minister Shahid Ashraf Tarar from Pakistan and Chairman Ports Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem from Dubai. Minister Shahid Ashraf Tarar has mentioned that the economic cooperation projects will strengthen the relationship between the two brotherly countries. Chairman Ports Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem has stated that both countries will benefit from the contracts in the future. The contracts include cooperation in railway, economic zones, infrastructure, as well as the establishment of a freight corridor, multi-model logistics park, and freight terminals. Pakistan Railways and Port Qasim Authority will work on the projects with DP World from Dubai. The completion of these projects will lead to improvement in traffic and reduction in logistic costs in Karachi. DP World will also contribute to the development of the economic zone to boost economic activities in Pakistan.
