Rashid Naz, a renowned actor in Pakistani television and film, passed away two years ago. He was known for his performances in numerous dramas and films in the 1980s and 1990s. Born on September 9, 1948 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rashid Naz worked in several Pashto and Urdu language dramas. His first Urdu drama was “Ek Tha Gaon” in 1973, but his most popular drama was “Namoos”. Other popular dramas in which he appeared include “Khuda Zameen Se Gaya Nahi”, “Inkaar”, “Anokhi”, “Apne Huay Paraye”, “Ghulam Gardesh”, “Dusra Aasman”, “Naamoos”, and “Pathar”. In 1988, he showed his acting prowess in his first Pashto film “Zama Jung”, and his first Urdu film was “Syed Noor Ki Daku”. However, he received widespread acclaim for his role in Shoaib Mansoor’s film “Khuda Ke Liye”. This shining star of the showbiz world passed away on January 17, 2022.
