The Ministry of Finance has emphasized that the $60 billion loan from China should be unconditional.
Islamabad: Pakistan has expedited efforts to remove hurdles in the way of borrowing from China. Efforts have been intensified to eliminate obstacles in the way of the $60 billion concessional loan from China. Chinese banks have imposed conditions on the repayment of installments under the loan negotiations to finalize the terms. However, the Ministry of Finance has emphasized that the $60 billion loan should be unconditional. Pakistan has been in consultation for the loan since July, but the financial arrangement has not yet been finalized due to existing disputes and pending approvals.
