Moment of great shame for students and faculty of Karachi University where University Syndicate has shamelessly allowed itself to become part of conspiracy against few principled and bold judges of Islamabad High Court and in fact all High Courts of Pakistan.
In my humble analysis and opinion as a media person, who understands the political dynamics of Pakistan and the role of Intelligence and security establishment, this targeting of Hon. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri is a brazen attempt to undermine and silence Pakistani judiciary. Justice Jehangiri like Justice Ejaz IK Ahsan and Justice Naqvi is being made into an example to frighten all judges, to silence them, to emasculate the judiciary of Pakistan.
If Pakistanis are indeed a nation, like the Bangladeshis, then it’s high time for the students of Karachi University to boycott their classes and protest against this conspiracy against judiciary, against High Courts and students and faculty must unite to stand for Rule of Law, for Justice and Democracy.
