Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the violation of its airspace by Iran, leading to the death of two innocent children and injury of three girls, and has expressed strong protest by summoning the Iranian ambassador to the Foreign Office.

According to a spokesman for the Foreign Office, Pakistan strongly condemns the violation of its airspace by Iran, which has resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives. This violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty is completely unacceptable.

The spokesman has warned that the serious consequences of this incident cannot be ruled out, and it is also alarming that this illegal act has occurred despite the existence of multiple channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran.

Previously, Pakistan had expressed strong protest by summoning the senior Iranian diplomat in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran. The Iranian Charge d’Affaires has been asked to report to the Foreign Office, and Pakistan has made it clear that Iran will be fully responsible for the consequences.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan has always maintained that terrorism is a common threat for all countries in the region and requires coordinated action. Unilateral actions like these are not in line with good neighborly relations and can severely damage mutual trust and confidence.

Previously, Iran had claimed to have targeted hideouts of the banned militant group Jundallah in the border areas of Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
