Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has responded to Shahbaz Sharif’s statement regarding the (electoral) debate, saying “I am ready for debates and discussions. Mian Nawaz Sharif can debate with me in Khairpur Gambat where the hospital is better than any hospital in Punjab and treatment is completely free.”
The heads of two major political parties have come face to face on the social relations website X. Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had challenged the leader of the PML-N Nawaz Sharif to a debate during the election campaign, to which Shahbaz Sharif responded on his Twitter account saying, “Yesterday, someone invited Nawaz Sharif for a debate. He should have invited Nawaz Sharif for a medical examination in Sindh instead, then there would have been a debate and comparison.”
In response, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari retweeted Shahbaz Sharif’s tweet, saying, “Despite becoming Prime Minister three times, Mian Sahib did not visit Gamut or Tharparkar. He should come there, inspect the infrastructure, and compare it to Cholistan.”
The Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party said, “In Thar, the coal project that you and your brother opposed is providing cheap electricity not in Karachi but in Faisalabad. Mian Sahib, discuss this outside the ICU of Punjab’s AIIMS where over 84,000 people from Punjab were treated last year, proving that Punjab hospitals do not have such facilities.”
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “Do not choose the path of escape, please tell us in which city and on which date your brother will discuss.”
